Hydrocyclone sand separator (also known as hydrocyclone filter) is a device that uses centrifugal force for primary filtration. They are widely used in agricultural irrigation and industrial water treatment systems to remove larger impurities (such as sand and gravel) and protect other irrigation system components from being blocked.

它的工作原理非常簡單. When water enters the filter from the water inlet on the top side, the water flow will rotate. Large particles of impurities have a different specific gravity from water, so these impurities will be thrown to the inner wall of the filter and settle in the tank at the bottom, while clean water will be discharged from the top outlet.
