Drip irrigation fittings are available in lockable and non-lockable styles, and some also have barbed and threaded styles. Commonly used drip irrigation fittings are mainly black, brown, and green. Of course, the colors can be customized. If the client wants other colors, we can also produce them.
Drip irrigation fittings are usually divided into connectors, elbows, tees, plugs, etc. according to their types. Connectors can be used to connect two pipes to extend the pipe. Elbows are 90°, which can make the pipe turn and change direction. Tees are used to divert water so that water flows in different directions. Plugs can be used to block the ports of pipes to prevent water waste. Of course, there are many types of fittings, each of which has its role. These various fittings together create an irrigation pipe system.
Drip irrigation fittings are available in equal and different diameters, threaded and straight. Moreover, the sizes of fittings used for main pipes and branch pipes of different sizes are also different. These factors ultimately lead to a wide variety of fitting sizes. Common sizes include 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, DN10, DN11, DN12, DN13, DN14, DN15, DN16, DN17, DN19, DN20, DN22, DN25, DN32, etc.
The installation process of drip irrigation fittings is very simple. You need to prepare pipes, fittings, scissors, punchers, etc. in advance. First, you need to plan the irrigation area in advance, draw a blueprint, and then lay the pipe according to the blueprint.
If the pipe needs to be extended or turned, you can use a coupler and elbow to connect the ends of the two pipes. If the ends are uneven, you can trim them with scissors first.
If the pipe needs to be diverted, use a puncher to make uniform small holes on the main pipe first, and use a Tee fitting to connect the main pipe and the branch pipe (PE pipes).
Sometimes, to make the pipe more stable, you need to fix the pipe with a pipe clamp. Finally, the end of the pipe is closed with a plug to prevent water from flowing out.
After the irrigation pipe and drip irrigation fittings are installed, you can turn on the water source and check if there is any leakage in the pipe system. If there is no leakage, the entire installation process is successfully completed.
