Ball valves are devices that can control whether water (or other fluids) in a pipe flows. It is mainly composed of valve body, ball, sealing ring, valve stem, handle, etc.
The ball can be controlled to rotate through the handle. There is a hole in the ball. When the hole is aligned with the inlet and outlet of the ball valve, it is in the open state, and the water in the pipe can flow through the hole. When the hole is perpendicular to the inlet and outlet, the water cannot flow. In simple terms, the ball is like a gate. When the gate is open, the water can flow through, and when the gate is closed, the water flow is cut off.
The materials of ball valves are mainly divided into metal and plastic. Metals include brass, stainless steel, etc. There are more plastics, such as PVC, UPVC, CPVC, PP, PE, PVDF, PPR, etc. The ball valves produced by our factory are mainly made of plastic materials (PVC, PP, etc.) because they are lighter and more cost-effective.
