If there are a lot of suspended matter and organic impurities such as sand, soil, algae, etc. in the water, you must use an irrigation sand filter to filter them. It has a simple structure and consists of a tank, a water inlet, a water outlet, a filter layer, a backwash system, etc. When water with a lot of impurities enters the filter, its filter layer (sand filter layer) can effectively block the impurities and keep them in the filter layer. The filtered water can flow out from the outlet. Generally speaking, an irrigation sand filter is equipped with a backwash function. It can regularly flush and clean the impurities remaining in the filter layer, so that the sand filter can work effectively for a long time.
Irrigation sand filter is usually installed at a water source with more floating objects and organic matter as the first-level filtration equipment. It can be used alone or in parallel with other filters to achieve the maximum filtration effect.

9. Can sand filter replace disc filter or screen filter?
No. sand filter is used to filter larger impurities such as sand, gravel, algae, leaves, organic matter. It cannot filter finer impurities. You can use sand filter with other filters to achieve the best filtering effect.
10. Where is sand filter mainly used?
If the water at the source contains a lot of sand and organic matter, it must be filtered.
11. For sand filter, should I choose metal or plastic?
